Swimming Lessons

Now that I am a stay at home mom I have been looking for activities to do with Mason. I decided Swimming lessons would be fun, especially since we are going to Lake Powell in a month. We did a two week fast track class so we could learn as much as possible fast.

Mase was a star in his classes! He was the youngest and the only one who never cried. He did great floating on his back and going under water. After the first few days of class he acted like he was ready to jump right out of my arms into the water (although I never let this happen). By the end of the class he learned to kick his feet and has gotten used to the motions it takes to climb out of the pool (he is not strong enough to actually do it).

These skills have carried over to dry life too. When we pick him up his feet go crazy kicking (which is scary for his father - you can guess why). He has also become a climbing machine. He can't get up to his feet yet but he can pull himself up to his knees. This has created the opportunity for many falls (scary!!).

It is so fun to do little activities with your baby. Getting out of the house and bonding over something like this is so great.

Mason will love the LP water because it will be warm!

Love the pictures! Cute, cute boy! I did swimming lessons with infant Cecily and really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see him do his swimming in LP!
