Happy 2nd Birthday!

Happy 2nd B-Day to my sweet little boy!

For Mason's second birthday we planned a weekend full of fun.

We started out a big breakfast and Mason got to open his presents from Grandma Bobbi and Grandpa Sherm. Then it was off to school and work. I sent Mason with Strawberry Shortcake to share with his class to celebrate.

That evening we opened more presents and spent the evening playing.

I took Friday off of work to spend the day with Mase. We decided to go to the zoo for some animal fun. Mase was scared of most of animals for some reason, but he did like the monkeys.

Here he is in Monkey Village

That afternoon Mason helped me make his birthday cupcakes. As I was filling the second cupcake pan with batter I looked over and Mason had a now almost empty cupcake holder in his hands and it was dripping everywhere. All I could do was laugh.

Friday evening we headed to Joe's Farm Grill for dinner as a family. It was perfect. It has finally cooled down so it was so nice to sit outside. Mason had a great time. He loved running around outside and playing with the other kids there.

The next day we headed to Vertuccio Farms for a fall festival. They had a pumpkin patch, a train, and bounce house, and a mini corn maze for kids.

Here are Mase and Dad on the train. The train ride was the highlight of the farm festival for Mase.

After the farm we headed to the library for some quiet time, and because Tye needed a new book to read. Mason loved the toddler book area. He brought me book after book for us to read together. It was so much fun!

That afternoon after a nap we finally got back to the cupcakes and of course the birthday song!

It is so much fun to watch Mason grow. He now repeats everything we say, runs everywhere, and plays pretend with his toys. He is also starting to make demands and/or decisions about things in his life like what to wear, if we can sit next to him in chair, and which stuff toy can hang out with him.
We are having so much fun watching this little boy develop a personality.
Hope you had a fun birthday Mase!

Sounds like a great weekend of celebrations! Mase is in such a fun stage now with his language developing and a little personality coming through. What a doll.
