Mother's Day

For Mother's Day Mason and I took a 24 hour trip to Salt Lake so that we could participate in the Walk for the Cure for my mom. This was year twelve since my mom had cancer and we have participated in the walk almost every year since she had it.

Here is a picture of the masses of people participating in the walk

My mom, Mase, and me.

I arrived home Saturday night just in time to spend Mother's day with Tye. He and Mason made me breakfast and we spent the afternoon relaxing. For dinner we made pasta with freshly made pesto from the basil in our garden.

When Tye's parents visited they helped us plant tomatoes, basil, parsley, sage, and cilantro. Everything but the cilantro has worked out really well!

Below are two Early Girl tomato plants, sage, and basil

Here are our Romas, more basil, and parsley

Your plants are growing well! I have yet to plant mine because it's been so cold :)

Glad you got to come up and do the race with your mom--I think that's an awesome tradition you guys have.

Impressive! I know it is hard to have a garden in that climate but it is worth the efforts.

Sounds like a great Mother's Day!

You are a great mother, Stacey! I am glad it was a happy day. We loved having you guys here, even so briefly.
